The pitfalls of instant communication

I am increasingly finding that people can't spell.
Italiens. Among the many spelling mistakes I see on facebook feeds.
Oh, and the inability to tell a your from a you're.
I can forgive the it's or the its, but.... ain't the above slightly more basic that the difference between it and it's? And the difference even greater?
Blehhh.
Maybe some people just don't learn how to spell correctly (even though English IS their first language).
It hurts my eyes. = =

omg grace ur so right! some of them just kinda misspell expecially when they're typing fast (didn't bother to check) haha even I'm typing short forms nowadays, stupid msn and sms and all the rest of the fb system. *_*
some really just can't spell right.
I find a lot of my peer do that kind of mistake (sometimes i wanna tell them but u kno, didn't dare to). well i think to have good english is definitely dependent on ur basic learning. That said, primary and secondary school should emphasis on grammar mistakes and spelling etc. Primary is more crucial because I did see some of my friends in secondary also can't get their grammars right. even those simple ones you know. so..yeah. and now with sms/fb it's gotten even worse. i should stop now, i tend to go on and on xD
o_o I dunno, typing quickly and making mistakes is fine o_o but what I find strange is when people just misspell....really simple things? Esp when English is their first and only language? Maybe its to do with the fact English is phonetically challenging.
I think teachers are leaving that out in primary school, cause I clearly remember being drilled on you're, your, its and it's in primary. Hmmm.
I wonder who posted the other-2-now-deleted replies. Hmm.
actually those 2 deleted is my fault lol...haha just ignore them xD
yea i think the education should really emphasize on things like these (no matter how trivial they are) coz it's kinda embarrassing if they make simple mistakes, not just once but continuously.
True....even some lawyers I've seen have spelling/syntax errors. Minor but @_@ when your living depend ds on what and how you write, I thought they'd be more careful. >_<
